Scholarship Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity awaits two young ladies with the upcoming crowning of Miss Hospitality and Miss Teen Pontotoc 2023. Programs such as these provide opportunities for young women to grow in public speaking, interview skills and leadership opportunities…not to mention the scholarship money.
The winner of Miss Hospitality will go on to represent Pontotoc on the state level next summer while also mentoring the newly established teen program winner. The Miss Teen Pontotoc title is intended to equip girls with the experiences necessary to reach their goals....becoming the next Miss Hospitality, preparing for graduate school interviews, or whatever dream they choose to pursue.

11/28/22 If you missed the last choir concert you have another chance! The choir will be performing, "Christmas in Pontotoc." You don't want to miss out on this!

11/28/22 The Beginner, Silver, and Gold Bands had a great concert last week. Thank you to our students and directors for a job well done!

11/28/22 Mrs. Sloan's class visited the library last week. Mrs. Cooper read the book, "A Turkey for Thanksgiving." The class had a discussion and answered questions with Mrs. Manning about the book afterward. The class also participated in an activity where they made turkey centerpieces to take home!

11/14/22 PCSD Counselors attended the Mississippi Counseling Association Conference in Tupelo, MS last week. Our counselors were able to connect with other school counselors across the state, as well as attend sessions and hear speakers covering a variety of topics.

11/14/22 Our PJHS librarian along with district librarians attended the LAMP (library and media professionals) Tour on Monday. The LAMP Tour is a workshop designed to increase and improve the awareness and understanding of the role of librarians in the state of Mississippi.

11/15/22 All of our students looked beautiful at this year's Most Beautiful and Most Handsome Pageant. Congratulations to our winners!

11/15/22 It was a great night last Friday at PJHS! Our girls looked stunning, and our escorts looked pretty good too. It’s always a fun night to see our students support one another, just like in the picture below. Thanks to all of our parents and volunteers who make our pageant so successful!
