(9/4) This week, our school counselor, Kelsie Cruse, visited students during their history classes to introduce herself and share a little about her role as a counselor at PJHS.
The message she wanted students to take away was simple: her job is centered around THEM. Whether it’s supporting their well-being, helping them find success in school, or preparing them for their future, Mrs. Cruse is here to help each and every student along the way.
She ended each lesson by leaving students with one important question: “How do you want to be remembered?” Students were challenged to think about the kind of person they want others to remember them as and to start each day with that question in mind. We hope it becomes a reminder that the choices they make, the way they treat others, and the actions they take each day are helping shape the person they are becoming.
