(10/2) Steve, Steve, and Steve are back in the building today hosting Friendly Feud--8th grade made benchmark review edition,. Students worked though a series of questions to earn points for their family team. The competition was fierce, fun, and of course, friendly.

(9/30) Mrs.Ross's and Mrs.Tutor's 8th Grade ELA classes spent a day in the library reviewing text evidence, stereotypes, and perspectives. The librarian, Ms.Bramlitt, helped students evaluate their assumptions and the characteristics of stereotypes as they analyzed characters in a story. The students had to find text evidence to support their ideas, identify possible themes, and information that challenged wrong assumptions in their groups. This workshop was an activity that helped wrap up the novel study of "The Unteacheables" that our 8th graders just finished reading.
