(8.9) Coach Clayton is doing a great job with 7/8th grade PE. Students are being exposed to a variety of workouts each week!

(8.9) Coach Johnson’s history students have been learning about the importance and how to’s of setting SMART goals. Students posted one of their goals on the board as a reminder to “Win The Day” by pursuing their goals.

(8.9) Mrs. Slay and Ms. Bigham’s science classes are experimenting today by creating “boats” and testing their ability to hold pennies.

(4.17)Students in Coach Johnson’s MS Studies class have been studying different MS artists. To end the unit Coach Johnson and 8th grader, NaJaria Judon, performed a melody of songs from two MS natives - Sam Cooke and Elvis Presley. Thank you both for sharing your beautiful talents with us!

(4.10) Students in Coach Hatcher’s Health and Nutrition Classes are completing their fitness tests today. We can’t wait to see how they turn out!

(4.8) In 8th grade ELA, teachers have been focusing on characterization. Today, students completed a scavenger hunt to practice their skills! Students had to answer questions correctly to get clues that lead them to rooms around the building. The first place winners for each class period were awarded 10 bonus points for their test tomorrow!
